What does a garden clearance include?
Brambles over the back fence. Ivy pulling at the brickwork. A shed you can't get to. Bags of last year's cuttings slumped by the gate. A clearance deals with all of it:
- Cutting back brambles, nettles, ivy and overgrown shrubs
- Strimming long grass down to a level you can mow
- Digging out weeds and unwanted plants by the roots
- Clearing old cuttings, leaves and garden rubbish
- Loading and taking away the green waste
When do people book a clearance?
- You've bought or rented a home and the garden came buried
- You're selling, and buyers can't see past the jungle
- A tenant has moved out and left the garden to grow
- A relative can't manage their garden any more
- Work, children or illness meant the garden was left for a year
How much does garden clearance cost?
The price depends on how big the garden is, how thick the growth is and how much waste comes out. Send photos through the form and we'll reply with a fixed price, so you know the full cost before we start.
What happens to the waste?
We bag it and take it away. The Environmental Protection Act 1990, section 34 places a duty of care on anyone who hands waste to someone else, which means you should check the person taking it is authorised. You can look any waste carrier up on the Environment Agency public register of waste carriers, brokers and dealers. Ask us for our registration number and check it yourself.
What comes after a clearance?
A cleared garden starts growing again straight away. Most people keep the result with regular maintenance visits, so the brambles never get back over the fence.
Questions about garden clearance
How long does a garden clearance take?
Most town gardens are cleared in a day. Large or very overgrown gardens can take longer, and we'll tell you how long when we send the price.
Do you clear rubbish as well as plants?
We clear green garden waste. Tell us on the form if there is other rubbish, such as old furniture or building waste, so we can tell you what we can take.
Do I need to be there?
No, as long as we can get into the garden. Tell us about access when you fill in the form.
